Walter Schottky Prize 2021 goes to Andreas Hüttel

The German Physical Society (DPG) awards the Walter Schottky Prize for younger physicists in solid state research to Andreas Hüttel. With this award, the largest physics society honors his outstanding achievements in quantum control in nano electromechanics. In a groundbreaking experiment, A. Hüttel succeeded in demonstrating the strong coupling of a cantilevered nanotube quantum dot to a microwave resonator.
